Developed to improve and optimize the intake process for both patients and our WebPT providers. Although the industry is littered with different methods of obtaining this critical patient info, many of the more popular methods scarcely show impressive metrics in terms of ease of usage. Patient portals and emailing intake forms notoriously still resulted in many patients inevitably completing paper intake forms on the day of the appointment. Our data showed that it could take a patient upwards of 20 minutes to complete necessary intake information before an appointment.
To overcome this scenario, reduce completion times, and eliminate the manual burden on staff, we sought to optimize the intake process. The mobile intake would simplify and send patient data directly to the EMR without any double entry. It could be accessed via the patient's mobile device or via a tablet in the office with prompts and aids to simplify form entries and preserve consistency for better data integrity.
